Swiss (LX, Zurich) expects the number of aircraft grounded due to ongoing Pratt & Whitney PW1000G engine issues to increase to up to 14 in 2024, according to the company’s head of operations, Oliver Buchhofer.

Moreover, Swiss media outlet AeroTELEGRAPH reports that the airline is working under the assumption that the engine grounding issue will persist until 2026.
