The government of Sarawak in Malaysia has formally acquired MASwings (MY, Kota Kinabalu) from Malaysia Aviation Group and will rename the regional carrier AirBorneo. State Premier Abang Johari Openg pledged that Sarawak’s “new flagship airline” would boost economic growth.
