DAT (R6, Kaunas International) has applied for exemption authority and a foreign air carrier permit to conduct charter flights to and from the United States, according to a regulatory filing lodged with the US Department of Transportation (DOT).

The Lithuanian carrier, legal name UAB DAT LT, is a subsidiary of DAT (Denmark) (DX, Kolding). In its filing, it said that receiving the charter permit would result in increased travel choices, greater service options, and enhanced competition.
