Binter Canarias (NT, Gran Canaria) has placed a firm order for four ATR72-600s powered by new-generation Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127XT-M engines with a further five options for such aircraft.

The airline intends to use the aircraft to replace four of its older ATR72-600s powered by previous-generation PW127M engines. It is the first-ever order placed by any airline to replace -600s with units of the same type but with newer engines.
