Emirates (EK, Dubai International) expects no B777X deliveries before 2027, or even 2028, sources at the carrier have told Bloomberg. While Boeing continues to publicly maintain that it will start delivering the aircraft type in 2026, Emirates is not so optimistic.

Sources “familiar with Emirates’ financial and operational planning” told the agency that the airline was not expecting any B777Xs before the second quarter of 2027. They also say there is a likelihood of no deliveries before 2028.
