China Southern Airlines (CZ, Guangzhou) has ordered 100 incremental C919s from COMAC (Shanghai Pudong), with deliveries scheduled to begin this year and run until 2031. The carrier is the last of China’s three big state-owned airlines to commit to the same number of locally built narrowbodies.
The carrier revealed in a stock market filing that the transaction is denominated in US dollars, but will be settled in cash in Chinese renminbi/yuan sourced via a mix of cash, loans, and other financial instruments….
